Japan Address Format

The biggest differences on a Japan page are address order, prefecture hierarchy, and block-number formatting. The result should show those differences clearly.

Address format notes

  • A common Japanese order is postal code, prefecture, city or ward, block numbers, and building name.
  • The same address may appear in a different order in Japanese and English interfaces.
  • Postal codes are usually written in a 3-digit + hyphen + 4-digit format.

Region coverage

  • The current release covers Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and Hokkaido, which is enough for prefecture filtering demos.
  • A Japan result should not collapse into a single English line. It should keep recognizable local formatting traits.
  • If you expand later, prioritize common prefectures and meaningful city-level differences.

Example address

1-1-2 Oshiage, Sumida-ku, Tokyo 131-0045, Japan
